I choose not to install Microlocs with extensions due to the long-term effects extensions can have on the health of your hair

My schedule does not currently permit time for me to travel to clients. All appointments are held at my address in Croydon. Which is accessible via Train/ Bus/ Car.

At present, the availability for transfer clients to book retightening appointments is very limited to availability. After current clients have booked their appointments or in some cases there will be last minute availability due to cancellations. If you wish to book an appointment as a transfer client, it would be best to give me a call on 07888382981 or send an e-mail letting me know; When you would like an appointment for? When your last appointment was? and Approximately how many locs you have. I can then come back to you with any / potential availability.

Retightening appointments are charged based on time taken to complete the appointment. The base time is 3 hours : £150 + £30 p/h thereafter.

Braiding and banding is the name of the game! You do not need: Conditioner! Deep Conditioner! Leave in Conditioner You will need: Clarifying Shampoo Moisturising Shampoo Small hairbands/ Elastic bands In the first year of having Microlocs braiding and banding is definitely recommended. As time goes on you may feel like you no longer need to, but within the first year your locs are still susceptible to bunching ( In Microlocs bunching is more of an issue than it is with traditional locs mainly because Microlocs are so small ). Once your locs become more mature (approx 12-18 months) you can wash your hair freely ( we all sigh of relief ) ! Tip: Even if you aren't braiding and banding your hair, Plaiting, twisting, cornrowing or rolling your hair will help prevent shrinkage and bunching caused by water and washing.

Every 4-7 weeks on average. This will maintain the consistency of your locs and should prevent thinning, breakage holes within your locs and inevitably loss of locs. Inconsistently retightening your locs or leaving large periods of time in between retightening your Microlocs is contradictory to the process of growing healthy Microlocs. Retightening on a schedule strengthens the foundation of your locs allowing your new growth not to be strained by the weight of your maturing locs.

Currently, I am not accepting transfer clients due to limited availability. Availability is reserved as a priority to current clients who have installed their Microlocs with me.

Approximately 3-5 hours dependant on the time in between your retightenings, number of locs and activity.

When you join the waitlist you will receive a follow up e-mail with the password to book a consultation (Please check your junk folder if you have not received this after joining the waitlist). There is a consultation fee of £50 if an installation is booked this fee will go towards your installation cost.

I have monthly availability for up to a maximum of 4 installations per month for Microlocs with Twists and there is 1 slot available per month for Interlocks. Installations typically take place Tuesday - Friday. Upcoming dates can be found on www.foryourlocsonly.com

This depends on whether you are installing twists or interlocks also varies based on hair thickness and length, as well as the number of locs being installed. On average, an installation for Microlocs with twists is about 12 hours and is installed in one day, whereas an interlock installation is split over 2 x 12 hour days and takes up to 20-24 hours on average (occasionally more).

Ideally, a minimum of 3 inches to avoid unnecessary repairs as short locs tend to unravel excessively.

The methods that I use to install Microlocs are two strand twists or interlocking. With both methods, the roots are interlocked. I use a grid to install all sets of Microlocs the grid style will vary dependant on the shape of your head, thickness of you hair, and desired look.

Cleanse, Condition and Stretch. Your hair should be product free on the day of your installation.
